You can't safe the world on your own, but is that a reason to do nothing?

Practical sustainability is all about making a choice. But choosing can be difficult, making the right choice is not always easy because we don't always know what to consider. We will provide you with ideas that you can take in to consideration.

As a consumer we make choices on a daily basis, we consider things as price, quality, health and fashion. As a practical idealist we add just one more thing to the mix: “Does it contribute to a better world?”. And we need to ask our self this question not just as a consumer but also in other rolls like our role as an employee, citizen, student etc. Practical sustainability is not about what you are doing wrong, it is about what you can do right to create a better world.

The average american uses about 7, 665 gallons of water each year just flushing the toilet, according to the US Dept of Energy. Based on the average cost of $4 for 1000 gallons each American spends around $30 a year on toilet water alone. A family of four spends at least $120 each year on toilet water. Leaking toilets can add at least 200 gallons to each person's daily use as well! The price per flush will only increase as areas of the United States continue to experience drought and dry conditions.
