| Shopping is good, shop until you drop |

Sometimes there is nothing more fun and relaxing then taking the whole afternoon off and shop until you drop. Almost everything can be bought close by these day's but do we need to by everything? Is the shop until you drop principle really necessary?
According to the media and the big companies, we, the consumers are in control, we have the power to buy or not to buy a particular product. But are we really in control? Do we have that power? I don't know about you but I feel often pretty powerless against raising prises and when we lose yet another of our favorite beauty products, there is nothing we can do about it. Often companies decides to replace a product with a new and improved product and often that new product is more expensive then the one you are used to. Are we still in control? Yes you can shop until you drop but can you buy the products you want to buy?
Shop until you drop?Ask Your Self If You Really Need All That Stuff
In some cases we have the power to make or break a product and usually this concerns a new product on the market, we can decide not to buy it and it will eventually go away, but this is often also not a choice from our side, are we properly informed about the product? How is the marketing done and so on? You would say that crappy products will only be produced as long as there are enough people who spend money on these kind of products. But is this the truth, are we all stupid? The truth is that we can go on with the shop until you drop principle, we just need to learn to make choices and buy only those things we really need and that are produced in a good way. Slave free, no child labor, with renewable products and materials. Certainly in this time of financial crisis we need to keep spending and when we spend our money on good products, these companies will grow stronger and can compete with the big and polluting companies. This way we are better of at the end of the crisis then we where when it started. To shop until you drop is perfectly OK, just shop for the right products!
